When your Student Visa Subclass 500 is granted in Australia, you will receive an email notification from us.  We will then notify your education provider by providing them with a copy of your visa grant letter. This is important so you can then prepare for your travel to Australia. 

If your visa is not granted yet and your intake is about to commence, if you are offshore, we will notify your school for a deferment. This means that you will join the next intake. 

If you are onshore already in Australia and currently either on a Tourist Visa or a Bridging Visa, you may choose to defer until the grant of your visa or start studying while on a Bridging visa.

2. Set up a bank account

Once you arrive in Australia, your priority should be to open a bank account so you can manage your finances and pay your bills. This health insurance provides cover for the cost of medical treatment while you are studying in Australia. 4. Find a place to stay

Finding suitable accommodation in Australia can be challenging, but there are plenty of resources available to help you. Your education provider may offer assistance with finding on-campus accommodation, or you can look for a shared house or apartment through websites such as Gumtree, Flatmates, or Domain. It’s important to consider factors such as location, budget, and facilities when choosing your accommodation. We can also assist in finding your accommodation. 5. Make the most of your student life

Finally, after completing the necessary formalities, you can start to enjoy your student life in Australia!
